POSITION DESCRIPTION
New Profit is seeking a proactive, mission-driven, and highly-organized Executive Assistant to provide primary high-level administrative support to Tulaine Montgomery, CEO (as of July 1, 2023). The Executive Assistant will play a critical role in supporting Tulaine and the long-term success of her efforts by managing logistical processes and tasks that require close attention to detail and working very closely with New Profit staff members and external constituents. The ideal candidate will work well with a team and also independently; have exemplary organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and respond to rapidly changing priorities; and have superior interpersonal skills, high self-awareness, and sound judgment. S/he/they will communicate proactively, advise Tulaine and other team members on solutions to challenges, and be comfortable with ambiguity and an ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial organization working at the cutting edge of social entrepreneurship, philanthropy, and policy.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Administrative Support for CEO
- Schedule and manage the day-to-day calendar for the CEO and use discretion to make sure the CEO's time is well-utilized; assume central coordination for internal and external requests and proactively manage cadence for standing meetings (one-on-ones, team meetings, etc.).
- Maintain regular communication with the CEO and monitor her inbox in order to track scheduling requests.
- Create scheduling systems and processes to maximize productivity for the CEO.
- Exercise good judgment in assessing priorities and working with confidential information.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal team members and external constituents ( New Profit colleagues, Board Members, social entrepreneurs, support staff, etc.) to ensure seamless communication.
- Revise and update the CEO’s CRM System.
- Coordinate travel logistics including trip itineraries, flight bookings, hotel reservations, car services, and activity planning.
- Track and submit monthly expense reports.
WHO YOU ARE
- 5+ years of experience in an Executive Assistant position supporting C-Suite executives
- Ideally based in Washington D.C. or able to easily commute to our D.C. office
- Superior organizational skills and an ability to multi-task and balance competing timelines
- Ability to prioritize effectively in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment
- An unwavering commitment to producing high-quality work product
- Highly detail-oriented
- High level of interpersonal maturity, grace, and sound judgment
- Self-aware and able to negotiate one’s needs as appropriate
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrated with internal and external clients
- A strong ethic of service and desire to be a part of a fun, hard-working team
- Command of Microsoft Office programs, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Proficient in Google Suite including Gmail, Sheets, Slides, Documents.
STARTING SALARY: $89,450
LOCATION: Washington, D.C. and Boston highly preferred; Eastern Seaboard
